Aging Gracefully: Movement and Meditation

Slowing down is the precursor to meditation. This simple act allows us to consider our thoughts, feelings, and actions more carefully in our desire to age gracefully. Every class will be experiential: We will learn a variety of meditation practices, breathing exercises, and some gentle movement routines that do not involve getting on a yoga mat. The focus of each class will be the aging process and how to navigate our journey through this new stage of our lives. We will share and discuss recent research on aging. We will meditate, read, write, stretch, eat, and laugh. Wear comfortable clothing. Come prepared to enjoy our time together. There will be a small fee for handouts. This course is always the same and always different!
