Search allows you to find courses that are not easily located by the filters in Course & Events.

Keyword(s):  Finds courses that contain ANY of the entered words in their titles

1. You may enter words in any order. For example, if you enter “puzzles” and “quantum”, it will find “Quantum Mechanical Puzzles”
2. Search only finds full words: “Poem” will not find courses that contain “Poems”, so add both forms of the word.
3. Capitalization doesn’t matter:  “poem” and “Poem” will find the same set of courses

Instructors: Finds current courses offered by facilitators you select.

Starting on or after:  Finds courses that start on or after the entered date.  Use it to find courses that start after another ends or when you return from travel.

Combine Criteria
One of the most useful features of Advanced Search is the ability to combine different types of criteria.  For example, you can find Monday morning courses at UMass Boston that start after 10/15/2024 by making the appropriate selections.

Tip: To select multiple items in the Categories or Instructors lists, hold CTRL key as you click each item. To clear all selected Instructors, click “All Instructors”.
