Women's basketball has come a long, long way - in Mississippi and beyond. There was women's basketball before Title IX, but that historic legislation, passed in 1972, spearheaded the sport's growth. Mississippi women were pioneers in the early days before the sport's explosion. Primarily, the Delta State women's teams of the early to mid-1970s showed people in our state that women could not only play the sport but excel at it. Fee: $10.00
