The two-spined trap-jaw ant, Odontomachus haematodus, is a ground-nesting ant native to South America that has been introduced to Mississippi. Ice Ages Through Time - HB In-Person
There have been at least five major ice ages in the past 2 billion years. Hypotheses exist to explain both large-scale ice ages and smaller ebbs and flows. Crucial factors include: atmospheric composition, changes in earth orbit, plate tectonic, variations in solar output, the dynamics of the earth–moon system and the impact of large meteorites and volcanism.
