From the fog at Brooklyn Heights that covered the escape of General Washington's army to the brutal snow storm that nearly buried the Americans as they attacked Montreal, the weather was frequently a critical and even deciding factor during the American Revolution, as it often is in war. We examine numerous battles and campaigns when the Americans, and at other times the British, were aided or plagued by weather and water. Fee: $10.00

Margaret Wade, Lucy Harris and Delta State Women's Basketball, 1975 -1977 - HB In-Person
Coach Margaret Wade led her Delta State Women's Basketball team to three consecutive Association for Intercollegiate Athletics for Women national championships from 1975 to 1977. Lusia "Lucy" Harris was the player who made that possible and she went on to score the very first points in Olympic women's basketball history and became the first and only woman ever drafted by the NBA. We will watch the Oscar-winning short documentary on Harris and Delta State and learn about Margaret Wade's legacy in women's basketball. Fee: $5.00

His creation is among the few times in history an individual from a pre-literate group created an original, effective writing system.
