This course provides a comprehensive two-day workshop agenda focused on a supervisor's essential areas of responsibility. Making the move from worker to supervisor has the potential to be extremely rewarding or profoundly disappointing. Ensuring that new supervisors are grounded in solid supervisory fundamentals makes a positive difference for the supervisors themselves, for their staff, and for the organization as a whole. New supervisors must learn a plethora of skills to be successful. This workshop bundles together five critical skills areas and allows time for practice plus tips, templates, and checklists to support the learner back on the job. Day one focuses on promoting communication, guiding the work, and leading the workforce. Day two focuses on leading the workforce, coaching employee performance, and continuing to develop as a new supervisor.
