Students will learn the fundamentals of silversmithing to make jewelry. This includes shaping, cutting, sawing, texturing, and soldering silver together to make earrings, rings, bracelets, and pendants without stone setting. There will be an emphasis on the safe use of all equipment. Tools and materials may be purchased from the instructor if desired. Projects range from $20 to $75. This class requires reliable access to a computer or laptop (a cell phone is not sufficient) with internet access to complete online homework and review online materials.
