  • Art Workshop     Intro to Charcoal Drawing
  • Charcoal is a wonderfully forgiving medium, and the best tool is your fingers. While we'll explore a variety of tools, there's nothing like using your hands to fully immerse yourself in the creative process. Charcoal is my personal favorite because of its calming, grounding effect. It's great for easing anxiety and finding a sense of peace while you create. In this workshop, you'll learn the basics of drawing, shading, and smudging, along with how to show depth, light, and perspective. We'll work with charcoal pencils and other forms of charcoal on paper. You'll leave with finished examples of your work and a solid foundation to build on. Don't be afraid to get your hands dirty, because they will be!
