Participants of this course will walk away after four classes with the basic knowledge of how to use a variety of drawing, shading, and smudging techniques. You will learn how to convey lighting, depth, and perspective within your works. We will be using a pencil on paper and some charcoal.

If you wished you could paint, but never learned how, then this workshop is for you! Participants of this series will be introduced to the basic tools and techniques used to create paintings! By the end of the series, you will have painted a simple scene to showcase the techniques you learned. We will be learning with acrylic paints and brushes on white canvas.

Charcoal is a wonderfully forgiving medium, and the best tool is your fingers. While we'll explore a variety of tools, there's nothing like using your hands to fully immerse yourself in the creative process. Charcoal is my personal favorite because of its calming, grounding effect. It's great for easing anxiety and finding a sense of peace while you create. In this workshop, you'll learn the basics of drawing, shading, and smudging, along with how to show depth, light, and perspective. We'll work with charcoal pencils and other forms of charcoal on paper. You'll leave with finished examples of your work and a solid foundation to build on. Don't be afraid to get your hands dirty, because they will be!

This course is designed for skill levels from beginner to advanced. Colored pencil is a very fun medium for those who love color! Coloring is great for anxiety, and helps you to relax and go to a place of inner peace and calm. Participants of this course will walk away with the basic knowledge of how to use colored pencils and explore the fun you can have blending colors!

Join our weekly 3-hour gathering dedicated to life drawing. Each session features a different clothed model, presenting a range of poses - starting with quick warm-ups and progressing to longer poses by the session's end. While this is a self-directed class, not led by an instructor, you'll receive a simple handout on figure drawing basics. Additionally, various books on techniques and approaches will be available for your reference, and you'll have the opportunity to observe and learn from fellow artists.

Welding as a Hobby is a hands-on course designed for beginners and hobbyists interested in both practical and artistic welding. Students will learn essential welding techniques, safety protocols, and equipment operation while exploring metal as a medium for creative expression. Using primarily MIG welding, participants will practice joining, cutting, and shaping metal to create functional projects and one-of-a-kind artistic pieces. This course covers fundamental design principles, different welding processes, and practical applications, making it perfect for those looking to explore metalworking as a creative and useful skill. No prior experience required.
