This program begins by exploring veterinary terminology, office procedures, first aid for animals, farm animals and their health. Our program also includes veterinary terminology software that will allow you to review the information in a fun, interactive way and utilize the audio glossary for correct pronunciations of the terms. The program then covers many necessary topics for any office environment such as hazardous material, safe lifting practices, and infection prevention. Finally, this program will provide training in the communication skills that make an effective professional including both verbal and non-verbal forms of communication. Upon successful completion of our program, you will be prepared to sit for the NCCB national certification exam to become a Certified Animal Care Worker (CACW).
