The new Digital Content Creator Certificate program at Dyersburg State Community College equips students with practical, industry-relevant skills needed for careers in digital marketing and content creation. Developed in partnership with marketing expert Kevin Adelsberger, the 30-hour, non-credit program provides hands-on training in digital marketing, analytics, copywriting, digital advertising, social media, and short-form video. Students will gain the technical and communication skills needed to create effective digital content, support marketing initiatives, engage target audiences, and contribute to the digital workforce. The program is designed for individuals seeking to enter, advance, or expand their skills in today’s growing digital marketing and communications fields. This is a hybrid course that meets weekly for 10 weeks beginning September 10, 2026. Three classes will be held in person at the DSCC main campus in Dyersburg, while the remaining sessions will be held live on Zoom.

Artificial Intelligence isn't just for tech experts. It's becoming an essential leadership tool. Dyersburg State Community College (DSCC) Workforce Development will host a complimentary AI workshop on Thursday, August 27, for members and friends of the Obion County Chamber of Commerce. The program titled “The AI-Enabled Leader: Practical Strategies to Increase Productivity, Improve Decision-Making, and Lead More Effectively,” will be held from Noon to 1 p.m. at the Obion County Public Library, located at 1221 E. Reelfoot Ave., in Union City, Tennessee. Join us for an engaging workshop where you'll discover how to leverage AI to increase productivity, enhance strategic thinking, and streamline everyday leadership tasks. Designed specifically for busy professionals, participants will leave with an action plan they can implement immediately. Participants are asked to bring their own lunch; drinks and dessert will be provided. Lunch begins at 11:30 a.m.

Dyersburg State Community College will offer a short-term, non-credit Supervisory Management Certificate this fall through its Department of Workforce Development. This program is designed for current managers or those aspiring to move into leadership roles within the West Tennessee region.
The coursework focuses on high-impact supervisory management skills that can be applied immediately in professional settings across retail, office, manufacturing, nonprofit, and hospitality.You will learn about different management styles, effective communication and feedback, goal setting, and emotional intelligence. You will also identify and develop your personal leadership style, learn how to motivate diverse workforces and make ethical business decisions, and improve your time management. Learners will receive a certificate of completion from DSCC upon completion of the coursework.
Class sessions will be held in person on the Dyersburg campus on September 28, October 26, and November 16. Session times are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.The course fee is $1,499. Lunch will be provided each day.
