Our society is permeated with racial conflict. In a time of heightened anger and frustration, the path to peaceful resolution is a timely issue. Hollywood has captured this issue in the themes of three recent films based on true events and experiences. On May 6 we will view Green Book (2018), exposing racial discrimination in travel accommodations. On May 13 we will see Best of Enemies (2019), demonstrating the struggle over integrating the schools. And, on May 20, we will view Burden (2018), a narrative about what happens when a man tries to leave the Ku Klux Klan. Our fourth session on May 27 will be our awards ceremony with a discussion of which films win Best in the categories of Film, Actor, Actress, Screenplay, and so forth.
