In-Person Class:  The Elderwise classroom at the Vineyard Church.

A Mindful Approach to Self-Hypnosis:  Accessing Your Inner Resources

Being intentional and mindful implies being aware of one’s own inner resources for learning, growing, healing, and effecting beneficial change. Research reveals that self-hypnosis, and other forms of inner quieting, induces many benefits. Self-hypnosis can be used for the purpose of reducing anxiety, increasing connectedness and empathy with self and others, freeing a person to extend forgiveness, valuing and using anger in a positive way, arousing feelings and cognitions of gratitude, improving memory and clarity of thinking, reducing pain, and providing an overall sense of well-being. In this class we will explore and experience this gentle and natural state of consciousness, a mindfulness of and appreciation for self.
