Mat-based Pilates exercises can be a valuable tool in the prevention and care of lower back problems. In this class instructor Gwyn Jones will focus on exercise modifications that can be beneficial in a number of circumstances. Major focus will be placed on creating awareness and endurance of the local stabilizers of the lumbar spine and pelvic region. Gwyn will also review exercises for care and prevention of back issues. Gwyn Jones has offered personal training sessions, workshops, and classes on Pilates for more than ten years. She is certified in STOTT Pilates and TRX suspension, and annually enrolls in continuing Pilates Education.
