The BuildNV Core Construction program is a short term, nationally-certified training program designed to train workers in basic construction skills for industry careers. Course topics include Hand and Power Tools, Construction Drawings, Construction Math, OSHA 10 Training and Basic Safety, Communication Skills, Employability Skills and Material Handling. Students completing all coursework and testing will receive the National Center for Construction and Education and Research (NCCER) industry-recognized NCCER Blue Card and OSHA 10 certification.
Students must be a minimum of 14 years old. Students under 18 must also have a signed parental consent form. Participants must bring a valid photo ID to the first class meeting to comply with NCCER requirements.
