Ceramics: Introduction to Wheel Throwing   

Have you always wanted to learn to throw on a pottery wheel? Here is your chance! This introductory class is designed for beginners with little to no experience with clay. The class takes place over 3 consectutive Thursday afternoons. The first Thursday we will learn the basics of wheel throwing, creating bowls and cylinders. The second Thursday we will learn to trim our pieces, create and attach handles to turn our cyclinders into mugs, and experiment with different decorative techniques. The third Thursday we will glaze our pieces and learn about cone 10 firing in the kiln. All materials and firings are included.
