In this class students will learn to create fun and whimsical bird beads using lampworking techniques. Lampworking is an age old process of heating and manipulating glass rods using the flame of a bench torch. Using these glass rods, tweezers, graphite paddles and many other tools, students will create hummingbirds, swans, flamingos and penguin beads. We will also learn to use frit or crushed glass to create cute little frit birds that can be used in jewelry making. Come learn with us as we watch these little birds fly free from the glass.

Elko in-person class for ages 14 and up.

    Ages 14 - 17 must attend class with a parent/guardian.
