Embrace spring and join us for a four session hand-building workshop focused on creating ceramic pieces for your garden! This is a beginner course and no experience is necessary. Register for all four Garden Series for a discount on this section.

Join us for a one session workshop vegetable and flower garden markers. Garden markers can be created with written letters, vegetable shapes, or can be left blank to write in vegetable names as you plant! This is a beginner friendly course and no experience is necessary.

Join us for a one session workshop creating pollinator watering cups and mushrooms. Bring your creativity to hand build mushrooms to decorate your garden or house plants! Turn those mushrooms up-side-down to create pollinator watering cups and increase your flower or vegetable productivity this year! This is a beginner friendly course and no experience is necessary.

Have you always wanted to learn to throw on a pottery wheel? Here is your chance! This introductory class is designed for beginners with little to no experience with clay. The class takes place over 3 consecutive Friday afternoons. The first Friday we will learn the basics of wheel throwing, creating bowls and cylinders. The second Friday we will learn to trim our pieces, create and attach handles to turn our cylinders into mugs, and experiment with different decorative techniques. The third Friday we will glaze our pieces and learn about cone 10 firing in the kiln. All materials and firings are included.
Elko In-Person Class for ages 14 and up.

This three-week wheel throwing focused class is designed for beginner to intermediate throwers who want to learn and develop their wheel throwing skills. Instruction will take place over three consecutive Friday evenings and cover wheel throwing basics; cylinders, bowls, more complex forms as well as trimming, handle attachments, decorative finishing techniques, glazing, and cone 10 firing in the kiln. All materials and firings included.

Elko in-person class. Must be 16 or older.

Join us for a one session workshop creating a hand built ceramic rain chain. Students will hand build 8-10 small decorative water cups, which will be strung together to create a rain chain. This is a beginner friendly course and no experience is necessary.

After firing, rain chains will be assembled by the instructor and you will pick up a completed product.

Elko in-person class for ages 14 and up.

Participants will be instructed in the basics of throwing clay on the potters' wheel, making unique cylinders and bowls, and choose 3 pieces to glaze and fire that you get to keep. Come prepared to get messy and have a great time! Unlike our Date Night class designed for partners or groups, you do not have to share a wheel for this class, you get your own for the session!

Elko in-person class

Minimum age 18

Join us for a one session workshop hand building and decorating a flower vase. Students will learn basic hand building techniques in this course. This is a beginner friendly course and no experience is necessary.

Elko in-person class for ages 14 and up.

Ready for a different type of night out? Join us for wheel throwing date night with a partner or friend. Cost is $75 per person or $150 for a pair. Partners will be instructed in the basics of throwing clay on the potters' wheel, making unique cylinders and bowls, and choose 2 pieces each to glaze and fire that you get to keep. Come prepared to get messy and have a great time! Partners share a wheel.

Join us for a one session workshop pressing fresh flowers, grasses, and shrubs into clay slabs to make ornaments, small plates and dishes. Learn about the native plants you are using or feel free to bring your own plants to press! This course is led by a local plant expert. Each participant can expect to take home up to 6-10 small pieces or 4-8 medium-sized pieces. This is a beginner-friendly course, and no experience is necessary.

Elko in-person class for ages 14 and older. Ages 14-17 must enroll with a parent or guardian.

This introductory clay class for kids ages 5 to 8 years old offers instruction in clay construction over three consecutive Saturday’s. Skills to be taught include hand-building, slab-building, coil, pinch, modeling, and a variety of decorative and glazing techniques. All materials and firings are included. **Wheel throwing will not be taught in this class.

June Session
Elko In-Person Class

This three week wheel throwing course is geared toward teenagers ages 12-18 years old. All experience levels are welcome. Students will learn the basics of throwing clay on the wheel creating cyclinders and bowls in the first week. In week two we will learn to trim feet, add handles, and a variety of decorative techniques. The final week we will learn glazing techniques and about firing in the kiln. All materials and firings are included.

Elko In-person class

Get creative in this hands-on, single-session workshop! Participants will explore a variety of different textures, shapes, and forms while creating their own slab-built dishes and trinket trays. This class is perfect for beginners as no experience is necessary. By the end of the session, you'll have a collection of unique handmade pieces, typically 6-10 small pieces or 4-8 medium pieces. Your work will be fired after the workshop and ready for pick-up at a later date. All materials and firings are included.
