    This introductory clay class for kids ages 5 to 8 years old offers instruction in clay construction over three consecutive Saturday’s. Skills to be taught include hand-building, slab-building, coil, pinch, modeling, and a variety of decorative and glazing techniques. All materials and firings are included. **Wheel throwing will not be taught in this class.

Skills to be taught include hand-building, slab-building, coil, pinch, modeling, and a variety of decorative and glazing techniques. All materials and firings are included. **Wheel throwing will not be taught in this class.

    This three week wheel throwing course is geared toward teenagers ages 12-18 years old. All experience levels are welcome. Students will learn the basics of throwing clay on the wheel creating cyclinders and bowls in the first week. In week two we will learn to trim feet, add handles, and a variety of decorative techniques. The final week we will learn glazing techniques and about firing in the kiln. All materials and firings are included.
