 This introductory clay class for kids ages 9 to 12 years old offers instruction in clay construction over three consecutive Saturday’s. Skills to be taught include hand-building, slab-building, coil, pinch, modeling, and a variety of decorative and glazing techniques. All materials and firings are included. **Wheel throwing will not be taught in this class.

- Beginning Stop Motion Animation Lab

Discover the magic of stop-motion animation in this fun, hands-on three-week class. Students will learn the fundamentals of storytelling, character design, animation techniques, lighting, and camera movement while creating their own original short film using their smartphone. Using everyday materials and their own smartphone, participants will capture, edit, and produce a finished stop-motion movie with easy-to-use animation apps. Throughout the course, students will develop creativity, problem-solving, and digital filmmaking skills while collaborating, experimenting, and bringing their ideas to life frame by frame. By the end of the class each student will have a completed animated film to share with family and friends.
This is an Elko in-person class for ages 14 and up.
