We will use glass rods and shape them in the flame of a torch to create unique glass marbles with unique designs of swirls, stripes, pinwheels and reverse twists. After the design is applied to the glass students will use graphite molds to shape the glass into a sphere creating a round marble. These are ancient techniques that have been used for many centuries. The marbles created in this class won't look like the mass produced marbles used in games today. These collectors marbles are one of a kind, each one being unique and something to pass down to future generations. These unique marbles are also fun to give away as gifts.
This class is open to all skill levels, although some lampworking experience is recommended.
