DSHS Dementia Specialty Training   

Dementia Caregiver

This course is approved by DSHS and provides an overview of Dementia and teaches various approaches for effective care management. You will receive a certificate upon successful completion with an 80% or better. Can be applied toward DSHS CE hours within the same calendar year. This course follows the Washington State Department of Social and Health Services Guidelines.

DSHS Requirements:

  • Students must register using their legal first/last name to receive a DSHS Certificate of Completion after successfully completing the course.
  • Students must provide a valid photo ID card at the beginning of class.
  • Zoom is required to complete the course. Registered students will receive a Zoom link 5-7 days prior to the class date.
  • Desktop or Laptop is required for online learning. Cellphones & Tablets are not allowed.
  • Your video and audio must be on and in focus for the duration of the class, excluding bathroom breaks and the designated break for lunch.
