    The Last Frontier is considered one of the greatest fishing destinations on the planet. Come and learn how to plan, organize, and implement a world class fishing adventure without taking out a second mortgage or breaking the bank. You will learn how to plan several different kinds of adventures to both fresh and saltwater destinations. Class will include a resource notebook loaded with information. The instructor has planned and escorted 35 different Alaskan Fishing Adventures over the last 30 years. This is a collaboration between Green River and Highline Colleges. The class is located at Green River College, Cedar Hall-209.

Learn how to prepare an incredible itinerary and experience some of the west’s best fly fishing. Class will include a resource notebook loaded with useful information.     Catching a Winter Steelhead on a fly is one of the NW’s ultimate angling challenges and a bucket list accomplishment for many. In this classroom session we will discuss tackle, equipment, and strategies for success. We will cover both the traditional Swung Fly method, and the Nymphing method, plus where and when to apply each technique. Class will include a resource guide with information about local and regional rivers and there run timing and prospects. After the classroom session there will be an optional outing to a local river for hands on instruction and fishing. Please note, this classroom session is a prerequisite for the outing. This is a collaboration between Green River and Highline Colleges.  The class is located at Green River College, Enumclaw, ENM-4.

    This course focuses on using a limited monochromatic palette to create winter botanical art. Students may work in graphite, scratchboard, ink, markers, colored pencils, watercolors, or mixed media, using photo references or real subjects. Weekly homework will be required. Instructor Marina Megale will provide subject descriptions, and students will email artwork each week for inclusion in PowerPoint, which will be critiqued at the start of Zoom sessions.
