If you have zero sewing experience, I’ll teach you how to sew a straight line, and you’ll be on your way to making a quilt!
If you’re an experienced quilter and want to learn new techniques and/or enhance your skills, this is the class for you!
Quilting class is hands-on, and students will learn by doing. The class is designed to support beginners through advanced quilters.

The instructor has received several boxes of quilting fabric from very generous members of our community and ALL students will be given the opportunity to select FREE FABRIC to use in the quilt they make in class.
Students will also learn how to safely and correctly measure and cut fabric using a cutting mat, flat rulers, and a rotary cutter. Each student will be supported in their level of learning. The instructor will provide hands-on demonstrations sewing, piecing, pressing, assembling, basting, quilting, binding, and labeling quilts. Beginning students may start with the patterns Disappearing 9-Patch or Half-Square Triangles. Intermediate/Advanced students may start with the patterns Storm at Sea or New York Beauty. Students are responsible for purchasing and bringing their own supplies. Click here for Supply List.
Upon completion of the class, students will have learned:

- Enhanced their understanding of color theory
- How to safely and accurately measure and sew a quilt, a unique functional art project, that may be used for years to come
- Increased confidence in talking about quilts
