Quilting Supplies   

Students are responsible for the cost of all supplies. Back to Class Listing

Basic supplies

  • Sewing machine in good working order (200+)
  • Fabric and thread scissors ($10-$20 each)
  • Neutral thread (cream or light gray - $5)
  • Iron ($30)
  • Ironing surface ($10+)
  • Seam ripper (comes with sewing machines $3)
  • Straight pins ($4)
  • Rotary cutter (45 mm, $10)
  • One self-healing cutting mat ($15)
  • Two quilting rulers 
    • 24-inch x 6-inch (Recommend Omnigrip Non-Slip Quilter's Rule, $22)
    • 12-inch x 6-inch ($12)
 

Cotton Fabrics

  • Fabric is provided.
  • More fabric may be purchased to fit student's project.
 

Quilt batting

  • Does not need to be purchased until later in the course
  • Size of batting will be determined based upon which project the student selects
 

Optional Supplies

  • Safety pins
  • Fabric pencils or chalk marker
  • Quilting frame
