Introduction to Astronomy

The scientific method, units, scales, measurements, terrestrial and celestial motion, observations of planets, moons, stars, and constellations, and the properties of light, matter, and gravity will be studied. The origin, evolution, and structure of solar system planets, solar physics (the Sun, solar wind, eclipses), and the Earth-Moon system will be studied. A recent discovery will be studied in each class.
