The Japanese Internment - Part 1

Part 1 analyzes west coast state and federal political legislation and economic policies dating to the 19th century that culminated in the incarceration of Japanese residents and Japanese-Americans in 1942, approximately two-thirds of whom were U.S. citizens. This “military necessity” falsely premised on the assumption that ethnicity dictates national loyalty will be examined using original source material and photographs.
