Author Spotlight Lunch Pail Series: Frank Nissen - Historical Fiction (YA)    NEW!

June 21 – Frank Nissen – Historical Fiction (YA) set in Gold Rush Era in Auburn, CA – Fortune’s Call

Fortune's CallFrank Nissen spent his forty-year career creating animated movies for Disney, Lucas, and other studios, so you have undoubtedly enjoyed his work already. In retirement, Frank continues to tell stories, create characters, and envision whole worlds as an author of historical fiction novels. His first book, Fortune’s Call, tells the story of a young boy, Pegg, who joins the rush to California, intending to make his fortune in the gold fields. Frank creates an adventure tale that is both wild and realistic. This story is also a local story, as Pegg ends up panning for gold near Auburn in our own American River.
