An exploration into California’s signature mountain range. Geological history and geography, resulting from glaciers, weathering, and time. We’ll review its rich fauna and flora, and its endless ecological associations, in addition to its environmental (human) history through time. We'll rejoice in its historic contributions to the conservation movement, and especially the American-inspired national park idea. We will discuss the roles that climate change, drought, and fire have on the future of John Muir’s “Range of Light.”
