The Hopewell Ceremonial Earthworks are eight enormous, precise and complex geometric enclosures. They are located in a geographic region along the Scioto River in Ohio. Built by ancient people, they are aligned with the sun’s annual cycle as well as complex risings and settings of the moon over an 18.6-year cycle. Join me in visiting this monumental UNESCO World Heritage Site!
