  • Devising and Writing Murder Mysteries from Plays to Prose

  • Through a combination of improvisation and writing exercises, you will get hands-on experience crafting mysteries. In this four-week course, you will learn basic background history of some of the most popular mystery genres and the important components you need for a successful mystery. Whether you are a playwright, screenwriter, short story or novel writer, or just interested in these roles, you will gain the tools needed to write a mystery story.

However, it’s hard to know where to start this process or even what questions to ask. Learn how planning ahead for your final wishes can shield your family from making difficult decisions at a highly-emotional time, ensure that your requests are carried out, and can realize financial benefits today. This presentation will also highlight the growing trend of green burial as well as pet cremation.

  • UGA School of Medicine: Building a Healthier Georgia

  • The University of Georgia is establishing a new, independent School of Medicine, building on the success of the Augusta University / University of Georgia Medical Partnership, which has been educating physicians in Athens since 2010. Building a healthier Georgia starts by establishing a new, public medical school to train more doctors, provide more opportunities for students, and discover more ways to improve lives. This session will provide an overview, timeline, and need for the new school; brief history of the AU/UGA Medical Partnership and Health Sciences Campus; and an update on the new medical education and research building.
