“A partner is recommend for most dance classes because:
1. It helps build lead and follow abilities.
2. Practicing certain figures with a partner makes them easier to understand.
3. They will be doing a lot of individual work since the instructor can practice with them for a short while but won't be able to remain long because of the need to check in with the rest of the class.
4. It may be harder for them to perform some moves on their own, depending on their level of expertise and dance proficiency.
