Tai Chi-Qigong is a healing exercise for our body, opening blocked energy channels through proper posture, breath work, and advanced concentration within graceful movement. Through this practice the condition of cells, muscles, bones, and joints are strengthened and revitalized, improving the function of internal organs and intestines.

Tai Chi (TaeGeuk) is the principle of the cosmic energy cycle. When cosmic energy is created and eventually reaches its peak, instead of disappearing, the energy converts into a different type of energy, thereby continuing its lifecycle.

Qigong is the understanding and application of the Tai Chi principle into our lives. We can embrace the cosmic energy cycle and transform ourselves, leading a less self-centered and more altruistic, devoted life.

Whether you are a family member or a professional caregiver, the role involves a constant state of alert and readiness. Caregivers exist in a state of sensory and emotional alert. This ongoing state of nervous system activation to assist with another’s needs depletes us of our own energetic reserves. The necessary replenishment of energy through rest and restoration is often bypassed, and over time, the level of output far exceeds the level of input. Commonly known as burnout, there are ways to manage our fatigue and to help ourselves self-regulate to optimally fulfill the role. In this class, we will discuss and practice techniques to replenish energy, support the nervous system, and build resilience in the caregiving role.

In this workshop, students will explore how to manage and learn from their beautiful and vast array of emotions. Emotions serve as an alert system and are defined as “energy in motion.” We experience a nuanced range and variety of them every day. When we encounter situations in which we don’t understand our own reactions, are confused about why we have uncomfortable and unexpected physical sensations, and why one emotional state can shift to another within seconds, we need to understand them more.

In this class, students will learn how bodily sensations play a fundamental role in shaping perceptions, emotions, and behaviors. For example, how do you feel stress? As a racing heart, sweating, or tight shoulders? Once you have an awareness of the physical manifestations of emotions, you can work to down-regulate your reactions and calm down your nervous system. Through self-awareness exercises, Aviva will guide you in connecting with all your senses, including physical sensations and intuitive insights that act as a guidance system, so you can feel empowered to approach life with more clarity and understanding. Students will also receive take-home materials for future review.

Scent is the sense most strongly connected to memory, with the power to calm the nervous system, shift mood, and bring us back to ourselves in an instant. Plants, too, support our regulation and well-being in ways we often overlook. Join Ella to explore the foundations of horticultural therapy and deepen your connection to the natural world through scent, touch, and creative practice.

We’ll begin the class by awakening our senses through playful scent explorations, guessing herbs, passing around fresh plants to touch and smell, and noticing how each aroma makes us feel. Participants will learn how to harvest and dry lavender at home, following the process from the plant to the dried botanicals we’ll be working with.

Together, we’ll craft personalized aromatherapy jars filled with dried lavender and colorful flowers to take home or gift. Using leaves and small nature treasures, we’ll also create handmade rubbings on tags/cards for each jar, a simple, heartfelt “to and from” keepsake inspired by the world around us. No prior experience with aromatherapy or crafting is required. We’ll close by enjoying a special homemade treat.

Leave feeling grounded, refreshed, and carrying the scent of lavender with you long after the day ends.

Understanding the science of hormones, sleep, metabolism, and strength, and practical ways to restore vitality after 40.

Many women notice that something shifts in midlife. Sleep becomes lighter, energy fluctuates, stress feels harder to manage, and the habits that once worked no longer seem to deliver the same results. These changes are not imagined — they are part of a natural biological transition that affects hormones, metabolism, and the nervous system.

In this engaging and informative workshop, physician and integrative health expert Dr. Sonal Bhatia explains what is really happening in the body during midlife and why these changes can feel so sudden.

Blending modern medical science with practical lifestyle strategies and insights from Ayurveda, this session will explore how women can support their bodies through this transition and restore energy, balance, and resilience.

    Participants will learn:

    • Why sleep, mood, and metabolism often change in midlife
    • How hormonal shifts influence energy, stress, and body composition
    • The role of nutrition, strength, and daily rhythms in supporting long-term health
    • Simple practices that can help improve sleep, restore energy, and build resilience

This workshop is designed for women in perimenopause, menopause, and post-menopause who want to better understand their changing bodies and take practical steps toward feeling stronger and more energized in the years ahead.

Across cultures and throughout history, people have turned to plants for healing, regulation, and connection. In this hands-on, interactive session, participants will explore the foundations of plant care alongside the therapeutic benefits of engaging with nature. Together, we’ll discuss how plants can support cognitive function, mood/regulation, and overall well-being, while introducing simple plant therapy practices that encourage mindfulness and personal growth.

This workshop will teach practical care techniques through direct experience, passing around a variety of indoor plants, and troubleshooting common challenges such as root rot, yellowing leaves, overwatering, and pruning. Each participant will select, water, and label a plant to take home, building confidence in nurturing living things beyond the workshop.

Towards the end of the session, we’ll have a guided reflective activity, “The Nervous System Tree,” a mindful drawing practice that invites participants to explore questions of grounding, growth, and self-care through creative expression. Participants will leave with their own plant, practical skills, and a deeper sense of horticulture therapy and how our connection to the natural world can enhance our connection to ourselves and one another. No prior plant or art experience is required.
