Intro to Photography II: Photographing with Intention

Woman with Nikon camera held near her faceThis community education course is designed for students who already understand basic camera controls and want to deepen how they approach photography. Building on foundational skills, the class explores photographing with greater purpose through a variety of styles, including portrait, landscape, action, and close-up photography. Emphasis is placed on making thoughtful choices around light, composition, timing, and subject matter. Through hands-on assignments, group discussion, and supportive critique, students will gain confidence, explore what types of photography resonate with them, and develop a more intentional approach to making images.
