Community and Continuing Education

About

Community and Continuing Education (CE) at Grays Harbor College provides non-credit learning opportunities that are accessible, relevant, and responsive to the communities we serve. Our programs are designed for adults of all ages and backgrounds who are interested in learning something new, strengthening existing skills, or connecting with others through shared interests. Courses range from single-session workshops to multi-week classes and are offered across our campuses and communities in Grays Harbor and Pacific Counties.

Personal enrichment courses invite learners to explore creativity, wellness, and lifelong interests through subjects such as art, language, history, and hands-on skills. These classes are interactive, welcoming, and designed to support both individual growth and community connection.

Professional development offerings support individuals seeking to enter the workforce, advance in their careers, or gain new credentials. Many of these courses provide practical, industry-aligned training such as Flagger Certification, HazMat Endorsement preparation, and CPR/First Aid. Instruction emphasizes real-world application, helping students build confidence and competence in their chosen fields.

Customized training is developed in partnership with local businesses and organizations to meet specific workforce needs. These offerings are tailored to support employee development, strengthen workplace skills, and contribute to the vitality of regional industries.

All CE courses are taught by experienced instructors, including local professionals and community members who bring real-world experience and share what they know. While CE classes do not offer college credit, they provide meaningful learning experiences that are flexible, practical, and grounded in the communities we serve.
