REGISTRATION FOR THIS CLASS IS CLOSED. This class is already in session.
This four-week community education course is designed to empower dog owners with practical, real world skills to care for their dogs safely at home. Students will learn foundational grooming techniques, basic pet health care awareness, first aid and CPR fundamentals, how to evaluate and communicate with pet care professionals, and how to recognize when veterinary care is necessary. The course emphasizes safety, advocacy, confidence, and realistic expectations for home care. Taught by a licensed groomer and lifelong dog lover, this course will help you feel more confident about caring for your dog's needs at home.
This class is educational in nature and does not provide certification or replace professional veterinary, grooming, or training services.
Course registration fees include supplies. Please provide your dog's breed or a photo of your dog by emailing ce@ghc.edu as soon as possible before class to ensure that the grooming supplies are appropriate for your pet.
Please leave your dog at home. Several gentle, friendly service dogs will be in attendance to pet and practice on.
