This course will prepare you for this rewarding career through a combination of foundational direct support knowledge and essential workplace skills, including communication, documentation, and job readiness.

Registrants must meet the following requirements to be eligible for the training:

• At least eighteen years old
• Able to pass a background check
• Possess a valid driver's license
• Earned a high school diploma or high school equivalency (GED/TASC)

This program equips aspiring entrepreneurs and small business owners with the essential skills to launch and manage a business. Participants learn key marketing strategies alongside fundamental accounting practices to promote their offerings and maintain accurate financial records. Topics include branding, digital marketing, budgeting, bookkeeping, and basic financial analysis. This free, all-inclusive program will provide you with all the tools you need to become a New York State security guard. You’ll complete the Eight-Hour Pre-Assignment Training, the 16-Hour On-the-Job Training, and your NYS application and fingerprinting, Participants must be age 18+ for licensing and have a valid Social Security number at the time of training. For most employers, a driver's license and HSE is required. 

This course is valued at $600.

This program prepares individuals to seek Level 1 Teacher Assistant Certification. Trainees will complete the following mandatory workshops: Child Abuse Identification, School Violence Intervention and Prevention, & DASA.  Directions on how to register for NYS ATAS and complete fingerprinting will be addressed, as well as tools for your job search and interviewing. ATAS test prep will be covered. This course is free due to Fast Track funding.
