Learn the process of brewing to enhance your small business or take your home-brewing to the next level. Go from bucket to barrel in this seven week course where we cover malt, water chemistry, hops, yeast, brew-house workflow, and quality testing. We will cover the basics of reading malt and water reports, adjusting water chemistry, evaluating hops, harvesting and storing yeast, and performing basic quality checks for a small-scale brewery. An overview of the brewing process and best practices will round out the class. Students will have mixed lecture with hands-on learning, with opportunities to work with ingredients and apparatus. This course is designed to train student in the intricacies of field-testing the pressure vacuum breakers, spill-resistant vacuum breakers, double check valve assemblies and reduced pressure principle backflow prevention assemblies. The course is comprised of a series of lectures followed by guided exercises in a wet lab area where hands-on experience provides the understanding of the field-testing methods. This class is open to the public and is zero cost due to Fast Track Funding. Class value is $1000.
Students are only eligible to enroll in one healthcare based training under the Fast Track program. If you have already taken a healthcare class through Fast Track then you are not eligible for additional funding through the program. Before registering contact us for alternate funding options.
Students must be at least 17 years old to enroll in the training and sit for the certification exam.
To receive the Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification, students must:
- pass the 48-hour classroom training
- pass the PTCB national certification exam
- be at least 18 years old (students take the certification exam at 17 but not get officially certified until reaching 18)
- provide proof of a high school diploma or its equivalent
Upon successful course completion students receive a voucher code for the PTCB national certification exam. Successful passing of the application process/background check is required to sit for the exam.
This comprehensive 48-hour course will prepare students to enter the pharmacy field and take the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board exam. Technicians work in hospitals, home infusion pharmacies, community pharmacies, and other health care settings – working under the supervision of a registered pharmacist. Course content includes medical terminology specific to the pharmacy, reading and interpreting prescriptions, and defining drugs by generic and brand names. Students will learn dosage calculations, I.V. flow rates, drug compounding, dose conversions, dispensing of prescriptions, inventory control, and billing and reimbursement. Students must be at least seventeen years of age to enroll in the training and eighteen with a high school diploma or equivalency to be certified.

The 60 hour, in-person Dental Assistant program prepares students for entry-level positions in one of the fastest growing healthcare professions. With the national increase in healthcare-related services, and the national shortage of healthcare professionals, the need for dental assistants is growing substantially. With a growing workforce over 300,000 strong, a career in dental assisting ranks as the fourth fastest growing occupation in the healthcare technician field.
The program prepares learners for entry-level positions as a chair-side dental assistant. This program covers the history of dentistry, introduction to the dental office, the legal aspects of dentistry, introduction to oral anatomy, dental operatory, introduction to tooth structure (primary and permanent teeth), the oral cavity; and other areas. The purpose of this program is to familiarize learners with all areas of administrative and clinical dental assisting focusing on the responsibilities required to function as an assistant in a dental practice. This class includes a voucher to take the national exam. The class tuition is $2,000 but is currently free to enrollees who qualify for Fast Track funding.
