Join a group of scientists from UVU on a fun and educational hike amid the fall colors in the Wasatch foothills of northeast Utah Valley (specific trail to be determined). Learn to identify many of the trees and other plants along the trail, discuss why the leaves turn color, spot birds and other animals that inhabit the area, and learn about the origin of the Wasatch range itself. Meet at the trailhead at 9:00 a.m. and be back by 1:00 p.m. The total distance will be 3 to 4 miles with a vertical climb of 500 feet or less.
