Jump into the exciting world of electric circuits. Design simple circuits with a battery, wires, lights, fans and sound parts and be able to tell the difference between an open and closed circuit. Build two circuits that connect parts in different ways and describe how the results change. Create a project and make small changes (adding another light, branch or switch) and predict what will happen. You will take home the KIT you have been working on.
Learning Outcomes:
- Follow a project guide to build circuits Use the booklet to build simple circuits with a battery, wires, lights, fan, and sound parts, and tell the difference between an open circuit and a closed circuit.
- Compare how different circuits behave Build two circuits that connect parts in different ways and describe how the result changes (for example, how the light, fan, or sound becomes stronger, weaker, faster, or slower).
- Change a circuit and predict what will happen Take a given project, make a small change (such as adding another light, branch, or switch), predict what will happen, and then check and explain if the circuit behaved as they expected.

Zap into the amazing world where electricity and magnetism team up to create real-life magic! Make basic circuits with batteries, bulbs and switches and explain the difference between series and parallel connections. Build at least one project that uses a coil or a magnet and describe how electric current can create a magnetic effect. Use different materials or liquids in a circuit to see which lets electricity pass and which does not, correctly using the words conductor and insulator when discussing their results. You will take home the KIT you have been working on.
Learning Outcomes:
- Build and explain simple connections Make basic circuits with batteries, bulbs, and switches, and explain the difference between series and parallel connections in their own words.
- Show how electricity and magnetism are linked Build at least one small project that uses a coil or magnet (for example, a simple motor or lifting device) and describe how electric current can create a magnetic effect.
- Test and talk about materials Try out different materials or liquids in a circuit to see which let electricity pass and which do not, and correctly use the words conductor and insulator when discussing their results.
