- LEARNING ROBOTICS WITH ARDUINO AND AI (GRADES 5TH-7TH)Orem Campus
-
Ready to move beyond LEGO? In this hands-on STEM class, students will build and program their own robots using beginner-friendly Arduino boards and software—with help from AI. You will learn how coding, sensors, and electronics work together to make robots move, react, and make decisions. Create lights and sounds, interactive circuits that respond to their surroundings. You’ll use DC, servo or Stepper motors, LEDs, buttons, sound and Distance Measuring Transducer Sensors, wiring, and breadboards to design and build your own custom robotic vehicle.
Note: Previous knowledge of programming languages is a plus but not required. If you’d like to bring your own laptop, you can practice at home each day. We will provide laptops for classroom use only.
Parents/Guardians - on the last day of class, the last 15 minutes of class, students will showcase their amazing creations.
Learning Outcomes:
- Curiosity: Students explore how sensors, circuits, and programming interact to create smart, responsive robots.
- Critical Thinking: Kids plan, test, and refine their projects, using problem-solving to overcome engineering challenges.
- Creativity & Exploration: With the help of AI, students expand ideas, experiment with new possibilities, and bring innovative robot designs to life.
