Jump into the exciting world of electric circuits. Design simple circuits with a battery, wires, lights, fans and sound parts and be able to tell the difference between an open and closed circuit. Build two circuits that connect parts in different ways and describe how the results change. Create a project and make small changes (adding another light, branch or switch) and predict what will happen. You will take home the KIT you have been working on.
Learning Outcomes:

Ready to move beyond LEGO? In this hands-on STEM class, students will build and program their own robots using beginner-friendly Arduino boards and software—with help from AI. You will learn how coding, sensors, and electronics work together to make robots move, react, and make decisions. Create lights and sounds, interactive circuits that respond to their surroundings. You’ll use DC, servo or Stepper motors, LEDs, buttons, sound and Distance Measuring Transducer Sensors, wiring, and breadboards to design and build your own custom robotic vehicle.
Note: Previous knowledge of programming languages is a plus but not required. If you’d like to bring your own laptop, you can practice at home each day. We will provide laptops for classroom use only.

Can three mysterious young people put their differences aside long enough to save the past and improve the future? In this original play by Time Mirrors playwright Drew Chappell, inspired by ideas from last year’s actors, three young women with different backgrounds, interests, and ideas travel to the past to reshape their futures. Landing in a small town in the middle of its own technological divide, can the three of them and those they encounter find a way forward for a world on the brink of chaos?
All who register before May 16th and participate in the audition on May 16th for roles will be cast. All students will perform Friday, June 26th at 2pm and 5pm. Tickets are free but are limited to ensure that all students’ families and friends can see them perform.
