Learning outcomes:
1. Demonstrate foundational ASL communication skills by accurately finger spelling the manual alphabet, using numbers 1-100, and signing common vocabulary related to daily life topics including family, food, clothing, places, and time expressions.
2. Engage in basic conversational exchanges with Deaf individuals using appropriate personal pronouns, possessives, and simple questions (such as greetings and inquiries about well-being), while demonstrating awareness of proper ASL grammar and sentence structure.
3.Describe key aspects of Deaf culture and explain why cultural awareness is essential for respectful communication with the Deaf community, including understanding Deaf identity, values, and communication preferences.
