Clubs

Clubs are created by members for members and are free to join and participate if you are a Lifelong Learning annual member. Sometimes a club will decide to go to a winery or movie together and there may also be costs to buy books or wine or rent movies online. You can choose to attend all club events or pick and choose. No one is taking the roll. Our clubs have different meeting schedules and locations so be sure to review the details of those you are interested in before signing up. Joining puts you on a roster so that you can be reminded of events and provided with additional information from our volunteer hosts.

If interested in a club, register for free to participate so you can receive emails with periodic updates. Also, look in the term weekly eblast for announcements.

The first meeting is March 20 at 4 p.m. We will be meeting at The Dray Bar and Grill located at 1800 Drayton Road. We will be hosted by LLL Members Paula Guest, Lynn Stroud and Joanne Rogers. The cost per person will be $25. We will be tasting 4 different wines and then you can chose one of those wines to enjoy a full glass. A light appetizer will also be included. You will pay at the Dray the afternoon of the event BUT please reserve your spot by March 13 by responding to this email or calling 864-274-2917. The Dray needs to know how many folks to prepare for so reservations are necessary and required.

Our second event for the Wine Club during our Spring term will be April 17. We will be hosted by LLL Members Ana Maria and Dennis Wiseman at the Alumni House on Wofford's campus. Closer to the date we will send parking directions for this fun event. Since we have declared April 17 International Malbec Day all couples (and friend groupings) are asked to bring a bottle of Malbec! We will do tastings and discuss the countries and regions the wines come from and the different price points too! (Won't this be fun?) Please also bring a small snack to share.
