Welcome to Lifelong Learning at Wofford Fall offerings will be posted online July 19. Registration will begin August 1 at 9 a.m. Fall 2024 Term Flyer > Clubs, Events and Trips > Clubs

Clubs

Our clubs are a fun and unique way for members to get to know each other outside of the classroom. Clubs are created by members for members and are free to join and participate if you are a Lifelong Learning annual member. Sometimes a club will decide to go to a winery or movie together and there may also be costs to buy books or wine or rent movies online. You can choose to attend all club events or pick and choose. No one is taking the roll! Our clubs have different meeting schedules and locations so be sure to review the details of those you are interested in before signing up. Joining puts you on a roster so that you can be reminded of events and provided with additional information from our volunteer hosts.

  • Mystery Bingo Book Club
  • Course Fee: $0.00
    Dates: 9/24/2024 - 10/29/2024
    Times: 2:45 PM - 3:45 PM

    Sessions: 6
Location: Central United Methodist Church  Colosseum
    Instructor: Carol Nescio

Are you an avid reader of mysteries? If so, this is a new kind of book club you'll enjoy because we only read mystery stories. Each month you'll have a 4 x 4 bingo card with the title of a book to read in each square plus four free squares. The object is to get bingo by choosing the three titles that you want to read (the fourth being a free square). Each month has a theme such as mysteries set in SE Asia, those with the WW II era as a backdrop, those set in libraries or involving stolen art or those having a sleuthing couple, etc. When we meet we will share a summary of our books along with some other facts outlined on the bingo card. All titles will be available at the public library so no need to purchase anything. Whether you savor a cozy murder mystery or a classic whodunit, you'll enjoy learning about a variety of mystery novels and new authors in the friendly setting of our club. The club will meet on the following Tuesdays at 2:45 p.m. throughout the academic year. A reminder will be sent a couple of days before the club meeting dates.
