In this session, we will talk about “codependency” in a relationship. It doesn’t refer to alcohol, drugs, or smoke. Codependency involves the loss of personal autonomy. In a relationship, all decisions, thoughts, and emotions are influenced by another person. One loses the independence of making choices freely without the approval from another person. When this happens, the person involved feels trapped and has difficulty in recognizing the problem. The situation is unhealthy as it will affect mood, behavior, and happiness. If you live in such an environment, enroll in this class to learn how to recognize codependency and how to overcome it. No one is in charge of your happiness, but you!

While technology has eliminated the standard 'tune-up' of days past, we still must be aware of some signs of trouble and act to prevent minor problems from becoming major, expensive repairs. Join an experienced mechanic and instructor who can make all things automotive both fun and comprehensible. We'll cover basic maintenance and troubleshooting of the ignition, charging, cooling, fluids, electrical, brakes, and exhaust systems and also discuss common problems encountered with any vehicle. You will leave this class better able to diagnose problems, perform basic maintenance, and deal competently and knowledgeably with local mechanics. Please note: This is a lecture and demonstration class; no tools involved.

This Hatha based class combines breathing with enjoyable and more challenging movements of muscles, creating a meditation in motion through a sequence of yoga poses. Each class focuses on strengthening and stretching different parts of the body. The class moves at a slow to moderate pace ending in total relaxation. Fencing is considered to be a lifelong sport and it's never too late to start! In this course, our experienced coach will teach you the fundamentals of foil fencing such as footwork, hand-eye coordination, and blade work in a supportive and encouraging environment. The sport offers a full-body workout and intellectual challenge, improving physical and mental agility. Nick Stockdale is a 3-time national finalist and World Cup competitor with 10 years of professional coaching experience. He coached 6 athletes to All-American recognition while at Ohio State and the Air Force Academy. As head coach at the Naval Academy, he led his team to a national collegiate club championship title. Pilates is a system of movement that works the abdominal muscles, and in the process, the entire body. Movement is precise, and at the same time, flowing. Muscles are toned and stretched, leading to improved strength, stamina, posture, and flexibility. Pilates seeks to unite mind and body through breath, concentration, and control of movement. Physical fitness and a sense of well-being are equally important in this class. Ballet- and yoga-inspired moves and stretches will be included as well. Open to all levels. Please bring a cushioned exercise mat.

Salsa is a Latin-Caribbean dance form that developed from a blend of Afro-Cuban and Caribbean rhythmic, musical, and dance traditions. In our sessions, students of all levels of dance will learn contemporary salsa derived from the traditional Latin-Caribbean merengue, calypso, cha cha, and rumba. West Coast Swing is a slinky partner dance derived from the Lindy Hop, and is slower than its East Coast brethren. This dance is recognizable by its slotted shape and focus on connection between partners, and can be danced to a varied range of music from blues and country swing, to soul and pop, making it probably the most versatile of couples dance forms. In our sessions, you and your partner will learn fancy footwork such as spins, dips, drops, quick turns, and partnering skills. Please note: this course is designed for couples.
