Designed for negotiators working within detention and correctional environments, this intensive course provides the negotiation skills, psychological insight, and team-based operational discipline required to safely resolve inmate-driven crises and hostage incidents. Participants learn to manage hostage situations, barricaded subjects, suicidal inmates, and non-responsive individuals within the unique constraints of secure facilities.
Instruction emphasizes effective communication, intelligence gathering and management, structured negotiation strategies, and coordinated team operations. You will learn how to apply behavioral and operational information throughout the negotiation process while working effectively with command staff, tactical teams, and other specialized responders.
