This is an eight-hour course that must be completed within 12 months from completion of the eight-hour pre-assignment course for Security Guards, and annually thereafter. This course is designed to train student in the intricacies of field-testing the pressure vacuum breakers, spill-resistant vacuum breakers, double check valve assemblies and reduced pressure principle backflow prevention assemblies.  The course is comprised of a series of lectures followed by guided exercises in a wet lab area where hands-on experience provides the understanding of the field-testing methods. This class is offered in direct partnership with the NYS Backflow Testers Association. Testing is included and takes place on Friday, August 2.
