This is an eight-hour course that must be completed within 12 months from completion of the eight-hour pre-assignment course for Security Guards, and annually thereafter. The course is structured to provide the student with updated and enhanced information on the duties and responsibilities of a security guard. Topics include the role of the security guard, legal powers and limitations, emergency situations, communications and public relations, access control, and ethics and conduct.

Nurse aides are the vital link between patients, RNs, and doctors. Get New York State-certified with this accelerated 120 hour course that combines 90 hours of classroom and lab instruction with 30 supervised clinical hours of training. Upon successful completion of the program students are registered for and take the NYS certification exam.
Training/employment requirements: Successfully pass a criminal background check, pass two English reading comprehension tests and all students must submit proof of immunization records showing two MMR doses, a completed physical, and negative TB test results within 12 months of class start date.
This training includes a required 25-hour pre-CNA course which provides students with workplace success preparation and AHA CPR BLS certification. After successful completion of the prep course students take the NYS certified, 120-hour CNA course that combines 90 hours of classroom and lab with 30 supervised clinical training hours. Upon successful completion of the CNA course, students take the NYS certification exam on-site.
Medical requirements before CNA clinical clearance include proof of a physical within one year, TB test results read within 12 months of clinical start date, and positive titers or proof of two Mumps, Measles and Rubella (MMR) vaccinations.

This course is designed to train student in the intricacies of field-testing the pressure vacuum breakers, spill-resistant vacuum breakers, double check valve assemblies and reduced pressure principle backflow prevention assemblies. The course is comprised of a series of lectures followed by guided exercises in a wet lab area where hands-on experience provides the understanding of the field-testing methods. This class is offered in direct partnership with the NYS Backflow Testers Association. Testing is included and takes place on Friday, August 2. This $1200 class is being offered for $200 thanks to Fast Track Funding.
