Learn about Fused Glass while making Glass Plates, Bowls, and Jewelry. Glass Cutting techniques will be demonstrated and practiced before advancing to laying out and creating simple Fused Glass Jewelry and Refrigerator Magnets. The class will advance to making a 6” X 6” Glass Tile and an 8” X 8” Glass Plate or Shallow Bowl. Sample projects will be available for design inspiration. Participates will be able to modify the provided materials while using their imagination and creativity to create several functional Fused Glass projects.
Participants will be inspired to create narratives between design, texture, form, and color which will allow the molten glass to produce unique, one-of-a-kind, beautiful masterpieces. All Fused Glass Projects will be taken to the instructor’s studio to be fired in a kiln before being returned before the last class session.
No experience in glass is needed, but closed-toed shoes are required (no sandals or flip flops). All materials will be provided by the instructor.
A Material Fee of $55 will be collected during the first class (cash or check).
