Groups and Clubs   

Join the Book Club to meet others who are book lovers. Members collectively select books to read and discuss at monthly meetings. Share the joy of reading, discover new genres and authors and participate in lively discussions.

Meets every second Monday of the month.

We will meet weekly to discuss current events, topical subjects and political and social issues of interest to the Group. We will invite CCU (and other universities') professors as well as Professionals and Experts to share with us their expertise and views on a variety of subjects. We will also call on the expertise of our own Group members to discuss topics in their areas of expertise.

We will meet to play games and have fun. No scores will be used, competition will be friendly, and entertainment will be the main purpose!

Meets on the first Monday of each month.

The Music and Acoustic Guitar Club meets once a week. The club is composed primarily of beginner and intermediate level acoustic guitarists and vocalists. Club members suggest music for the club to tackle. All musical styles are welcomed, and the club’s playlist consists of pop, rock, country, blues and folk music. Members learn from each other and give support in interpreting and performing songs. Vocalists are encouraged even if they do not play an instrument. Hand percussionists are also welcome. The Club offers a relaxed way to learn new music with the encouragement of fellow musicians.

Olli’s Arts and Crafts Club provides a space to work on projects, learn new skills, collaborate, and connect with others. Members can explore various art forms, exchange ideas, and support networking. The club will also plan outings outside the classroom.

This club meets on the first and third Thursday of the month.

Garden Club will be a monthly meeting for all who are interested in gardening in South Carolina. We will have speakers, field trips and the opportunity to share ideas, experiences, seeds, plants and, especially stories of our successes and failures.

Meets on the third Friday of each month.

We will meet monthly for dining and socializing at restaurants around the Grand Strand chosen by the participants. Each participant will pay for their own meal.

The group leader will reach out to participants by September 30 with details for the first meet up.
