- Body Awareness and Flow
-
REGISTRATION FOR THIS CLASS IS CLOSED.
Body Awareness is one of the most important factors in how well we age. Kinesthesia and Proprioception study how connected you are to your body, the positions and movement of parts of your body, and how your muscles respond to your body movement. Body Awareness and Flow is a practice that accomplishes increased awareness of body movement.
Learning Body Flow will help strengthen and tone muscles, increase stability and agility, and help you become more flexible in your Activities of Daily Living (ADL), all while having a good time stretching and dancing. You will reach, stretch, step out of your personal living box, and increase your agility. It is an active, medium-level large movement class. As you start opening your body you will also open your mind. Increased stability helps prevent falls. Movement oxygenates your body, lowers blood pressure, reduces cholesterol, and improves cardiovascular health.
