- Great White Crane Qigong
-
Qigong of the Great White Crane is a fun and graceful form that works on supporting the lungs and respiratory system. The lungs are the first line of defense in our bodies and the foundation of our immune system. Due to the nature of our stressful lifestyles, our breathing patterns are often affected negatively thus inhibiting the natural rhythm and function of the lungs. Disharmony of the lungs may lead to problems such as increased allergies, asthma, issues with bowel movements, and changes with the skin. Practicing this form will in the Fall help you prepare your body for the challenges of the Winter cold and flu season. Also, the emotion associated with the lungs is sadness and by practicing the movements of the White Crane form, you may feel happier!
Comfortable, loose-fitting clothes are encouraged. Paid parking is not required at this time. Class will not meet 10/20.
