    Dates: 6/3/2024 - 6/24/2024

    Sessions: 4

    Instructor: Shannon Patrick

Artists, like VanGogh and Monet, began painting outdoors when tubed paints became available. This freed them from grinding paint in the studio and, with their easels outside, colors burst from the landscape and onto the canvas. It's a style of painting that hones ones observational skills: the colorful light and shadows move and as you learn to paint more quickly and efficiently, your painting will evolve. You will be guided through the process and explore the basics of color theory, value, shape, line and more. All painting/drawing mediums are welcome. We will be painting outdoors at Hatcher Garden, and inside at the Artists Collective in case of rain.

Students are responsible for providing their supplies. The list of materials needed for the class can be found HERE
