Who belongs to LLL at Wofford? Our members are people like you from all backgrounds, places, education and professions. We welcome adults of all ages who have a desire to learn, engage, build new friendships and take an active part in discovering more about the world around us.
Why Membership fees? They go towards honoring our instructors, paying our staff and supporting our ability to offer the many and varied classes and events we offer each year. Members receive many benefits that include: early registration for classes before the general public, sneak peeks of course and event offerings, access to dozens of learning opportunities with incredible instructors, access to the Sandor Teszler Library on Wofford's campus, invitations to member-only special events, special pricing for campus events, weekly e-blasts and our aweseome puns, ability to serve on committees, join a club and most importantly, unlimited opportunities to meet new friends. Members can also receive scholarships to take up to two classes a term if finances are challenging. For more information about being a member of Lifelong Learning check out our Member Handbook.
What if I don't want to join as a member? If you decide you do not want to pay the annual membership fee, you are still able to sign-up for all of our classes and events throughout the year. Note however, registration for non-members begins 2 days after we open registration for our members each term and you will be required to pay $10 more per class. Non-members do not receive the benefits of being a member as listed above. We strongly encourage you to join as a member and become fully engaged with our LLL community.
Annual memberships are $60 and are renewable each year starting in August. The can be purchased through March 20 and are valid from August 1 through June 30.
No membership is required to participate in most special events throughout the year.
